Drag email to CRM correspondence
To address recent technical changes to Outlook, we have developed an alternative solution to our existing Outlook Plugin.
This allows you to drag emails from you inbox into Gold-Vision against the relevant record in the Correspondence area. This tool works with any email provider, whether you’re using their desktop application or web browser version. Once in Gold-Vision, the email will be tracked as it usually does if you currently use Email Tracking.
How do I add an email to Gold-Vision?
Open the record in Gold-Vision that you’d like to track the email against and scroll down to the Correspondence block. This will work with the following CRM modules:
- Leads
- Accounts
- Contacts
- Opportunities
- Quotes
- Projects
- Activities
- Events
Head over to your email inbox and drag and drop the email you’d like to add to Gold-Vision over to your desktop or designated folder.
Now, drag the email file (.eml) into the Correspondence area and drop.
The email will now be available in the correspondence area:
Tip
If you’re using Classic Outlook you will be able to drag the email directly from the application into the relevant Correspondence area.
Warning
If you’re using New Outlook, or a browser-based inbox you will need to follow the steps above to add your email into Gold-Vision. If you attempt to drag the email directly from your inbox to the correspondence area in this instance, you will receive the following error message:
