Contact Activities
What are Contact Activities?
Gold-Vision Marketing allows you to create Contact Activities off the back of an action completed by a recipient. Email actions include:
- Email processed
- Spam report
- Dropped (where the recipient’s email address is either invalid, or their inbox is full)
- Deferred (where the delivery of an email has been temporarily delayed by the recipient’s email server)
- Opened
- Bounced
- Hard Bounced
- Delivered
- Link clicks
Once the action is completed by the recipient, an activity will be created against their Contact record in Gold-Vision. Activities could cover anything from account manager follow-up to recording buyer intent.
How to automate contact activities from Gold-Vision Marketing

You can create a Contact Activity off the back of any Email Action or Link Action. Under the action you want to assign as your ‘trigger’ to create the Contact Activity, select + Add Action.
In the pop-out panel select Create contact activity under CRM Actions:
Enter the details of the Contact Activity you want to automate when the Email or Link Action has been completed:
- Name: The title of the activity as you want it to appear in Gold-Vision CRM
- Start/End Date & Time: The date the activity should be started and the due date set for the user who will be working on the activity
- Status: Select the status of the activity’s progress.
- Owner: Select the user in CRM who these activities will be assigned to.
Warning
Contact Activity is the standard term used for this specific area of Gold-Vision. If you have amended the name in the Screen Designer it will be reflected here. This also applies to the status options available to you.
Once your Contact Activity is set up, it will appear under the Action it’s assigned to:
When you send your email the Contact Activity will be automated, and will start to feed into Gold-Vision straight away.
What does it look like on the CRM side?
The Contact Activity will appear in Gold-Vision against the relevant Contact, for example:
This will also appear on the User’s homepage in the Activity area if it has been assigned to them specifically.
